Police have launched a double probe in the capital after a teenage girl and a young woman were subjected to alleged sexual assaults on the London Underground.
British Transport Police (BTP) released a series of images on Thursday of two men wanted "in connection" with the incidents - which took place on opposite sides of the city.
The first relates to an allegation of sexual assault at Arnos Grove Tube station - on the northern edge of London, on the Piccadilly Line.
A BTP statement reads: "Shortly before 6.30pm on Friday, January 31, a young woman was using the ticket barriers when she was approached by a man from behind who sexually assaulted her.
"Officers believe the man in the image may have information that could help their investigation.
"Anyone who recognises him or has any other information, is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 587 of January 31."
The second came fewer than three weeks later - on a Northern Line Tube train in south London.
BTP said: "Detectives investigating a sexual assault on board a Northern Line service between Stockwell and South Wimbledon are today releasing these images in connection.
MORE LONDON CRIME:
"At around 11.15pm on Wednesday, February 19, a man made sexual remarks to a teenage girl before sitting next to her and sexually assaulting her.
"Other passengers intervened and the man left the service at South Wimbledon.
"Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information that could help their investigation.
"Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV, or has any other information, is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 20 of February 19."
The CCTV pleas come as crime rates on the Underground shot up by 13 per cent last year, according to a new report by Transport for London (TfL).
The total number of crimes committed on the Underground between January and August 2024 reached 16,288 - with the Central Line and Northern Line the worst-affected.
Individually, King's Cross was the most crime-ridden stop - followed by Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road, Stratford and Finsbury Park.
The TfL report also found that 50 percent of crimes occurred on trains, and 47 percent at stations.
