Home Assistant Template's are a very powerful way of formatting and manipulating data but they can be a little confusing to get start with. In this video I'll show you how to get started with templates in Home Assistant and we will cover 3 examples of templates - Using a template to trigger an automation, using a template as a notification message and finally using a template to create your own sensors, switches, lights or any other domain that supports templates.
