Please Gospodin, spare me a fish”
Part Three - Then the snow came...
Firstly....Happy New Year...
!!
Set during the Russian winter on the Eastern Front in WW2, this is a diorama I'm creating depicting a group of German soldiers resting behind the lines. Keeping warm around a camp fire, together with a captured Russian soldier, one fish's in the icy river, when 2 peasant Russian children appear on the bridge, having been unsuccessful on their own fishing trip. The boy calls out to the men below " Please Gospodin, spare us a fish?" The word 'Gospodin' is Russian, similar to the English word for 'Sir'.
This final part of the three video trilogy shows the application of the water effects on the surface of the river, adding the snow to the various elements such as the road, river bank & bridge, & painting the final 5 figures, before adding all 10 to the scene, along with the panzer 4.
