How to prime your Chinese diesel heater with the three most common controllers - how to prime diesel heater - priming diesel heater
In this quick easy to follow video we show you which buttons to press to prime your Chinese diesel heater when you first install it or if you run out of fuel
We show you how to do this on the three most common controllers that come with these heaters including the blue controller with the red remote and the 3 button LDC controller that comes with most 2kw heaters in the UK
Priming your heater only needs to be done when you first install your heater to get the fuel from the fuel tank, through the filter and pump and into the heater or for the same reason if you run out of fuel.
Depending how far your heater is from your fuel tank you may need to set your heater to prime multiple times to get the fuel all the way through your lines, if you use all the fuel line that comes with the heater you might need to prime it 3 or 4 times until it reaches the pump.
Once the fuel has reached the heater and there are no more big air bubbles in the fuel line (tiny ones are ok) then you should manually stop the priming process to stop the heater from over priming and flooding.
If you do over prime the heater the exhaust will smoke a lot on start up, if you flood it you will most likely get an e10 error code and this can be fixed by blowing hard into the air intake as the heater starts.
