Russia and Ukraine are "pursuing two different wars" as both countries believe their campaign is "most strategic", a think-tank founder has claimed.

Dmitri Alperovitch said Vladimir Putin is "ignoring" Ukraine's advances as Russia continue "focusing on eastern Ukraine".

Ukraine’s surprise counter offensive into Russia is not said to be a turning point but "still a major upheaval".

US author of World on the Brink told GB News: "For the most part, Putin has been actually kind of ignoring it and the peculiar situation about this conflict at this stage at least, is that it seems like Ukraine and Russia are pursuing two different wars.

"The Ukrainians have massed forces and have successfully executed this offensive in Kursk and have captured territory, have captured hundreds of POWs there as well.

"And the Russians have not really responded in...

Reform UK looks set to make inroads into Labour’s leave-voting heartland seats after Sir Keir Starmer’s honeymoon period ended early, a new opinion poll has suggested.

Nigel Farage’s party is currently poised to pose a major threat to Labour in dozens of seats after the Prime Minister’s support suffered a major dip just eight weeks after romping to victory.

The latest BMG opinion poll put Labour’s support at just 30 per cent, down from 34 per cent on July 4.

The leaderless Tories would regain a number of seats from Labour and the Liberal Democrats after witnessing a two-point boost to take them to 26 per cent.

The BBC has been slammed as “shameless” after they interviewed a Palestinian chief who called Hamas’ October 7 massacre “glorious”.

Mustafa Barghouti, the General Secretary of the Palestinian National Initiative party, spoke on Radio 4’s World at One show on Wednesday. His appearance comes after the Israeli military launched a series of strikes in the West Bank, killing nine Palestinians.

The broadcaster has been lambasted for inviting him to appear on the show, following remarks he made on October 7 about Hamas’ attack, which saw 1,200 Israelis killed and 251 civilians taken hostage.

“Today is a glorious day for the Palestinian resistance and people,” he told Al-Jazeera Qatar.
