Tom Brady is set to leave his £300m Fox Sports analyst role to work full-time in the Las Vegas Raiders front office next season, according to former MLB executive David Samson.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion, who is currently in the first year of a 10-year broadcasting deal, will reportedly prioritise his position as Raiders minority owner.

Samson claims Brady's growing involvement in Raiders operations, including the search for a new head coach, makes his dual roles unsustainable.

Brady's current deal with Fox Sports, worth £300m over ten years, made him one of the highest-profile hires in sports media history.

His role with the Raiders has expanded significantly, with owner Mark Davis recently confirming Brady will have a "huge voice" in the franchise's future.

The NFL legend is already heavily involved in the search for Antonio Pierce's replacement after the Raiders head coach was fired earlier this week.

Speaking on the Dan Le Batard Show, Samson delivered a scathing assessment of Brady's attempt to balance both positions.

"Tom Brady is running that team right now - the NFL knows it and Fox knows it and something has got to give," said the former Marlins president.

"It's an absolute insult to analysts what he's doing. And it's an insult to team president what he's doing," Samson added.

He warned that trying to manage both roles would lead to "doing both of them in a mediocre way."

When pressed to clarify his claims, Samson was unequivocal about Brady's future plans.

"Tom Brady will not be with Fox next season, he'll be full time in the Raiders front office running that team. Period," he stated.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his broadcasting future, Brady is still scheduled to work Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on 9 February.

He is also launching Super Bowl watch parties across all 30 NFL stadiums in partnership with Verizon Fan Fest.

Brady's expanded role with the Raiders represents a significant shift from traditional minority ownership arrangements.

His influence in key decisions, including the head coach selection process, suggests a more hands-on approach to team operations.

Recent developments align with Samson's claims, as Brady appears increasingly focused on shaping the Raiders' long-term strategy.

The Athletic's Andrew Marchand and Richard Deitsch have also expressed doubts about Brady completing his full broadcasting contract, citing his various ventures outside football.
