The New Forest secured second place in the rankings by holidaycottages.co.uk, whilst Scotland rounded out the top three most popular destinations.

Northumberland's appeal lies in its diverse offerings, from snug eateries to its picturesque North Sea coastline. Visitors can explore sprawling beaches, rugged moorlands and numerous nature reserves teeming with wildlife.
The county has gained particular attention on social media, with TikTok users discovering hidden gems like Cragside House and Gardens, a National Trust site.
