A teacher has left a child devastated and traumatised after writing a savage four-word piece of feedback on a student's homework.
Detailing the incident on Reddit, the father of the girl described his reaction to the feedback written on the 11-year-old daughter's work.
The homework tasked students with writing about their "hopes and dreams" with the girl writing about her aspirations to compete in the Olympics and "be a perfect gymnast".
The homework sheet was meant to explore students' identity, including their aspirations, habits and significant people in their lives.
Her dad shared an image of the homework, revealing his daughter had competed in gymnastics nationals just a month before receiving the demoralising comment.
But when marking her answer, the teacher allegedly wrote: "Will never happen. Sorry."
They also added a sad face next to the comment.
"I'm absolutely flabbergasted and angry," the parent wrote on Reddit, sharing their dismay at the teacher's response.

The post was shared in the "Mildly Infuriating" subreddit, where it quickly gained attention from concerned users who aired their criticism of the teacher's discouraging response.
Many social media users urged the parent to report the incident to school administrators.
"You can get a teacher reprimanded for that," one said.
"Bring this to the principal. I'm being so serious."
Another commenter advised: "Talk to your kid as well.
"Point to that note and tell her - it's time you learn some teachers don't know jack. Prove her wrong."
Another added: "How is this only mild? I'd be f***ing livid.
"Teachers aren't supposed to crush dreams, they're supposed to encourage them."
