Rachel Reeves says she’s not satisfied. Well, neither are we...

She’s our Chancellor. She claimed to be an economist, but the only thing in my view she was being economical with was with the truth.

And that's to put it kindly. Some might call the adjustment she made on her credentials a correction for something that simply wasn't true..

Rachel Reeves, the woman whose questionable economic policies are destroying this country and bringing misery to farmers, business owners and everyday working people, claimed on her linked in profile that she was an economist at the Bank of Scotland.

Nana Akua

She or someone else later amended it to state that she was in fact in retail banking!

Retail banking is personal or customer banking to the general public, so, processing payments, customer enquiries, blah blah, you get my gist.. she may have even worked over the counter in a branch near you... it’s more admin than economics.

Rachel Reeves

There’s a big difference between the two.

Political blog Guido Fawkes has claimed that Rachel was wrong to suggest she worked at the Bank of Scotland as an economist and in fact she held a more ‘mundane’ role in the bank complaints team.

"On background, she worked in retail banking covering various areas drawing on her background as an economist. Her LinkedIn has been updated to reflect that."

Which could go towards explaining why she and her front bench pals have concocted one of the worst most counterproductive budgets, devoid of any reason or common sense.

Farmers

Destroying any opportunity for growth with repercussions that anyone who has run a business could foresee, but not Rachel.

One which has left farmers fearful for their future and put UK food security at risk, one where independent schools are closing further burdening the state sector and one where businesses are stopping expansion under the strain of the increase in NI, business rates and the minimum wage..

I actually studied economics Rachel and business and politics and philosophy. I think I’m probably more qualified than you to be chancellor.

This is like a very bad episode of The Apprentice where wannabes with little experience cock up pretty straight forward tasks.

Where’s Claude when you need him?

Rachel, your fired.
