Shadow Justice Secretary has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer after Britain was hit with a 10 per cent tariff by US President Donald Trump.
Delivering his list of reciprocal tariffs to the world, Trump claims that foreign countries, "friend and foe", have "looted, pillaged, raped and plundered" America.
The UK was handed one of the lowest tariff rates at 10 per cent, with other countries including China, Taiwan and Thailand being hit with tariffs of more than 60 per cent.
Delivering his speech from the White House gardens, Trump declared to make "America wealthy again", and that the new tariffs are the new "golden age" of the US.
Discussing the imposed tariffs on Britain, Jenrick told GB News that the decision is a "serious failure" of the Labour Government in solidifying US relations.
Jenrick fumed: "It's deeply concerning for British businesses and workers right across the country, in many sectors, but in particular in the British car manufacturing sector, which exports so much to the United States.
"I think there's a serious failure of the Starmer negotiating team. Keir Starmer is not a good negotiator. We've seen that in many other respects, like the Chagos deal."
Emphasising the scale of the failure by Labour's Government, Jenrick added that the British Ambassador to the US Peter Mandelson "wouldn't know British interests if they slapped him in the face".

Jenrick told GB News: "For example, Starmer sacked the trade negotiator Crawford Faulcner, who we had when we were in government, highly respected individual.
"And he's leant upon Peter Mandelson, who frankly wouldn't know British interests if they slapped him in the face. This is a big failure."
Issuing a stark warning to Starmer, Jenrick urged the Prime Minister to "get back round the negotiating table" and secure a deal with the United States.
He demanded: "We've got to ensure now that Starmer gets back around the table and ultimately puts British interests first, because that is what Donald Trump is doing. He's putting the interests of the United States and American workers first.
"And I want to see Starmer do exactly the same. He shouldn't be pushed around by other countries, even if they're bigger players than us. So all options should remain on the table."
Reflecting on Starmer's recent trip to the White House, Jenrick questioned "what he achieved" during his visit, calling on the Prime Minister to get the UK out of his tariffs "as soon as possible".
He concluded: "I want to see Starmer step up. I want to see him negotiating a trade arrangement that hives the UK out from these tariffs as quickly as possible, which is what he was promising just a few days ago.
"I want to see him getting businesses to come and relocate here in the UK, trying to make the best of a bad situation and standing up for Britain - don't be pushed around even if the United States is a bigger player than us. Don't be pushed around. Put British interests first."
