Princess Eugenie shared a previously unseen photograph from her youngest son Ernest Brooksbank's royal christening as part of her Mother's Day celebrations on Sunday.
The intimate family snap was included in a series of personal photographs posted on the princess's Instagram account.
The image shows little Ernest sitting on his mother's lap, dressed in what appears to be the traditional Honiton lace christening gown worn by royal babies.
While the exact date and location of the ceremony remain unknown, it likely took place before Ernest's first birthday in May 2024.
In the touching christening photo, Princess Eugenie is seen wearing a knitted dress from Reiss paired with an Emily London headband.
The proud grandmother, Sarah, Duchess of York, also joined the family for the special portrait.
The image was the third in Eugenie's Instagram carousel celebrating Mother's Day.
Ernest's christening follows royal tradition with the use of the historic christening gown, a replica of the one commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1841.
The intimate family moment offers a rare glimpse into the private ceremony for Eugenie's second son.
While little is known about Ernest's christening, his older brother August had a more public ceremony.
August, now four, was baptised alongside his second cousin Lucas Tindall at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor in November 2021.
LATEST ROYAL NEWS:
Lucas is the youngest child of Mike and Zara Tindall, born just six weeks after August in early 2021.
The late Queen Elizabeth II attended the double royal christening, as did Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas.
August was nine months old at the time and also wore the traditional royal christening gown.
