Princess Anne visited her brother King Charles at Clarence House on Friday morning, following his brief hospital stay.
The King, 76, had been admitted to hospital on Thursday due to side effects from his ongoing cancer treatment.
The monarch was forced to cancel all his planned engagements in Birmingham as a result of the medical episode.
The Princess Royal was seen leaving the residence in a black Bentley shortly before the King departed.
The royal siblings are known to share an exceptionally close bond.
Despite his recent health concerns, Charles appeared in high spirits on Friday morning.
The King was seen waving to fans as he left Clarence House in his black Audi.
It is understood he was heading to his Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire.
This departure came moments after Princess Anne drove away from the residence.
The King's journey to Highgrove follows Buckingham Palace's announcement that he required "a short period of observation in hospital" on Thursday.
The palace confirmed this was due to temporary side effects from his scheduled and ongoing cancer treatment.
Buckingham Palace released a full statement on Thursday night regarding the King's health.

"Following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, The King experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital," the statement read.
"His Majesty's afternoon engagements were therefore postponed. His Majesty has now returned to Clarence House and as a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow's diary programme will also be rescheduled."
The Palace added that the King was "greatly disappointed" to miss his Birmingham engagements and "hopes that they can be rescheduled in due course."
