Prince Harry will not appear in Meghan Markle's upcoming second season of her Netflix show or his wife's new podcast as she executes a fresh separation of her professional life from the Duke of Sussex.
The royal is set to be completely absent from both projects according to a source, marking a departure from his limited involvement in previous content.
Harry, 40, barely appeared in the first series and he will not be in the second season at all.
The couple's children, Archie, five, and three-year-old Lilibet, will also not feature in the upcoming series.
"He's not in it. It's her and more friends. More of the same," a source said.
The first season of Meghan's Netflix show featured the Duchess offering hosting tips and conversations with close friends.
Meghan, 43, is now continuing with the second series whilst also reviving her podcasting career with "Confessions of a Female Founder".
The show received multiple scathing reviews and has been mocked by several celebrities.
This week an insider at Netflix admitted that the show is "not a runaway success".
The second season of With Love, Meghan was filmed "back-to-back" with the first one last year.
"I know they filmed the shows back-to-back so in theory there is no second season," the source told the Mail.
"What this does is allow edits to be made to the show from feedback from press and Netflix viewers. It's clever and cost effective."
The insider clarified: "So no the overall contract has not been renewed yet".
LATEST ROYAL NEWS:
The source said that bosses were "worried" about the poor reviews, particularly as Netflix is a business partner in Meghan's lifestyle brand.
"The industry bibles like The Hollywood Reporter and Variety are not keen on it," they added.
This concern is heightened because Netflix has "invested a lot in the product line" for Meghan's As Ever brand, which will launch in their stores in the coming months.
"Netflix bosses are all worried now because they have invested a lot in the product line," the insider explained.
The streaming giant is reportedly uncertain about how to proceed with the rollout of Meghan's products.
