Former Conservative Chairman Sir Jake Berry has claimed that politicians are ignoring the public’s concerns about immigration.

He told GB News: “It's astonishing that we don't get told [foreign crime statistics]. I actually think there's a real public interest in knowing those figures.

“What I found extraordinary about what happened today is this idea of two-tier Kier, two-tier policing, that was pumped out of some sort of conspiracy theory.

“Now, Parliament has come back today, and James Cleverly, the Shadow Home Secretary, has come back and said, actually, no, there is evidence that we do have this two-tier approach by the Labour Party.

“Whether that's Keir Starmer taking the knee, or in fact Jess Phillips, that violent gang who threatened a journalist…and Jess Phillips said it was fine, because they came along to protest against some EDL people.

“That is a Home Office minister, her duty is to uphold the King's peace. She has condoned violence on our streets. What has Keir Starmer done about it? Absolutely nothing. She is still in her job…

“I think my party when they were in government have turned a tin ear to the British people.

“Over 50 per cent of people now in the UK say that immigration is the issue they are most concerned about and politicians are putting their fingers in their ears and saying, ‘look, we have to be progressive, that's not what Britain's like, we want to continue with this mass immigration.’

“It needs to stop. The British public does not want it.

“The point is, we are in this country creating, effectively, a city the size of Birmingham every 18 months with legal and illegal migrants.

“Look at Birmingham. How many hospitals does it have? I think it's got 11, actually. There are over 400 GP surgeries, there are over 800 primary schools. There are 600 secondary schools.

“Unless we are building infrastructure at that rate, what does it mean with all these people coming to the country?

“It means you can't see your GP. You have to wait hours in A&E, your kids can’t get in your preferred school.

“And that is what makes people say, this isn't racist. They say, ‘I cannot access services because the Government is having so many people in and we are failing to build the infrastructure.”
