A police investigation has been launched into a "kidnap attempt" after a schoolgirl was allegedly "grabbed by two men who tried to drag her to a car" in Plymouth.
The girl, 15, was walking along Colebrook Road as two men tried to push her into a car just before 7pm on Sunday.
She managed to escape her abductors and call the police after the horrific incident.
Officers were summoned to St Budeaux and said the 15-year-old was not hurt.
Devon and Cornwall Police further said that enquiries into the abduction attempt were ongoing and encouraged eyewitnesses to get in touch.
The force said: "Police were called following a report of an attempted kidnap in Plymouth.
"It was reported that at around 6.55pm on Sunday 9 March a female was walking along Colebrook Road, Plymouth, when two males tried to pull her into a car.

"The attempt was unsuccessful and the victim was able to escape unhurt. Enquiries are ongoing.
"Anybody with information or relevant footage which may assist investigating officers is asked to call 101 or visit our website quoting 50250059744.
Police have also released a description of one of the suspects, which has since been seen on social media.
A force spokesman said the girl described one of the men as "white male, around 6ft tall, of skinny/slim build, with a hood pulled up and dressed all in black".
She subsequently described the other man who was driving the car as a "a white male, with long black hair and a brown beard".
It is believed the two men were in a black SUV-type vehicle.
