Mark Donovan, the president of NFL side Kansas City Chiefs, has hit back at vicious rumours suggesting Travis Kelce's relationship with Taylor Swift is all one big marketing scheme.
The pair have been together since July last year, with the couple becoming one of the biggest power couples on the planet in the time since.
Swift cheered Kelce as he helped the Chiefs win the Super Bowl earlier in the year.
But some have suggested there's more to their relationship than meets the eye, with mischievous users alleging they're simply together as a marketing scheme.
However, Donovan has now insisted that isn't the case.
Speaking to CNBC, he said: "I'd love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship, and we're happy to have it."
Donovan also insisted that there had been more positives than negatives when it comes to the power couple.
And he also boasted that Swift, who is currently considered the biggest pop star on the planet, is an 'authentic' fan of the side.

"It's been nothing but good for us," he continued.
"I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it's had on us is: Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom.
"She is an authentic fan, and that matters to our fans and our fanbase, and it matters to us and we try to respect that.
"We're trying to celebrate it, but it's not about doing too much or showing her every touchdown or anything like that."

Having Swift on board is certainly a positive for the Chiefs.
Earlier this year, it was claimed that her regular attendance at Kelce's matches helped to boost the NFL's 'brand value' by a staggering $331.5 million.
As things stand, neither Kelce or Swift have any children - either together or from before their relationship.
But the Chiefs star recently joked about pursuing parenthood in order to 'become brilliant'.

While appearing on 'Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity', former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick claimed becoming a father 'makes you wiser'.
And Kelce responded by saying: "Is that what happens when you have kids?
"You get smarter?
"Man, that's all I had to do to become brilliant?"
Fitzpatrick then added: "Just have a baby!"
And the audience cheered, with some fans convinced that Swift and Kelce could have a child together in the near future following his remarks.
