The National Lottery has urged players to check their tickets, as a whopping £3.6million prize remains unclaimed.

A player from Sevenoaks, Kent must claim their winnings before April 22, 2025, or lose it all forever.

The lucky player has a winning Set For Life ticket - which would see £10,000 paid into their bank account every month for the next three decades.

The winning ticket was bought on October 24, 2024 for just £1.50.

It features the numbers 11, 29, 37, 45, along with the Life Ball number 6.

If the lucky player does not claim their prize, then any unclaimed money, including interest accrued, will be redirected to support National Lottery Projects.

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings before the money goes elsewhere.

“If no prize winner comes forward to claim their winnings by the deadline, 22 April, the money and any interest earned on it will go to benefit National Lottery Projects across the UK," the lottery officials stated.

Sevenoaks station

Lottery workers even descended on Sevenoaks station early Monday morning to urge commuters to check their tickets, however their searches proved fruitless as the clock continues to tick on the 180-day deadline.

A Set For Life draw takes place on Mondays and Thursdays every week.

Players can also bag a prize by matching all five numbers (without matching the Life Ball), which would give them £10,000 every month for a year - resulting in a total of £120,000.

There have been a number of close calls where winners almost missed their jackpot deadlines.

Terry and Lynn Patience from Barking claimed £2.5 million when it was "not far off the deadline" after their daughter heard about it on the radio in 2007.

The closest call came in 2015, when a claim was made for a £4.6 million prize in Barking and Dagenham with just three days until the deadline.

The largest unclaimed prize ever was a EuroMillions jackpot worth £63,837,543.60 from June 2012.
