Watch the moment GB News star Nana Akua locked horns with former British Army Officer Simon Diggins over how President Trump’s clash with Volodymyr Zelensky played out in the Oval Office.

Diggins made it clear that the “shameful” scenes infuriated him and he laid the blame squarely at the US representatives, Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

Nana said she saw it “very differently”, but before she was able to make her point, Diggins tried to hit back in a moment that appeared to leave Nana frustrated.

“They tried to bully Zelensky publicly and humiliate him, which in my view and many others’ view, was frankly disgraceful”, Diggins said on GB News.

Nana responded, asking if Diggins had watched the entire exchange. He confirmed that he had, accusing the American pair of “disrespecting” the Ukrainian leader.

The GB News star said she saw things very differently, continuing: “I didn’t see that. I saw Zelensky interrupt JD Vance and emotional manipulations.

“He said ‘you will be next’ and all that sort of thing, which I’m not sure how helpful that is when you’re on the backfoot and someone has been supplying you with weapons for a long time. I’m not sure that was wise.”

Diggins admitted that Zelensky was frustrated and it “probably wasn’t wise” for him to air his grievances, but said Trump and Vance did not help the situation by initiating a “frat boy pile-up”.

“I’m afraid that is not a great way to behave. When you’re talking to someone who has fought an aggressor for three years, you show them some respect”, he said.

“You may have to be difficult with them and there may also be occasions when strong conversations take place in private, what you don’t do is do that in public, in the Oval Office. Frankly, that was shameful.”

Nana said she “saw something very different” but admitted many will share Diggins’s opinion.

The former Army officer then spoke over Nana, who insisted on having her opinion heard. “Let me finish”, she asserted.

“The whole world did not see that and I have people on my panel who view it differently”, she said.

Diggins interrupted again, saying: “The majority of people saw a president publicly humiliated by Trump and Vance. Even Starmer said that as well.”

Nana said: “Just because he [Starmer] said that, doesn’t mean I have to go along with it. We have done a few polls and it’s fairly evenly split.”

Diggins said: “the only person who did not see it as a disgrace was Viktor Orban and his sidekick from Slovakia. These are not serious people.”
