Morrisons has quietly added the cult favourite Milky Way Crispy Rolls to its £4 meal deal, three years after the chocolate bar was discontinued.

The supermarket giant has included the popular treat as part of its Food to Go offer, which allows customers to purchase a main, side and drink for £4.

Milky Way Crispy Rolls, which count as a side in the meal deal, started reappearing on shelves earlier this year after being discontinued in 2022.

The move comes as part of a wider trend of discontinued chocolate bars making comebacks following customer demand.

Alongside the Milky Way version, shoppers can also find new Twix Crispy Rolls and Bounty Crispy Rolls as permanent additions to the meal deal range.

Morrisons confirmed the chocolate bars are a permanent addition to its Food to Go deal, though it wouldn't specify when exactly they were added.

For those who prefer to buy the treats individually, all three varieties are available for 75p each, subject to availability.

Health-conscious shoppers might note the calorie content varies slightly between the options, with Bounty rolls containing 519 calories per 100g, Milky Way rolls 513 calories per 100g, and Twix rolls 511 calories per 100g.

Bargain hunters should be aware that other retailers offer better value on individual bars.

Both Tesco Express and Co-op are selling the chocolate treats for just 45p each - 30p cheaper than Morrisons' price.

Iceland was the first supermarket to confirm it would bring back the cult chocolate bar for a limited two-week period earlier this year.

Shoppers have also spotted the treats in Poundland and Home Bargains stores.

The return of Milky Way Crispy Rolls has been met with enthusiasm on social media, with one Facebook user writing: "Thank god crispy rolls are back."

Another exclaimed: "YAAAAAAS! Frickin' love Milky Way Crispy Rolls!"

This revival follows other chocolate comebacks in recent months. B&M brought back Cadbury Fuse Mini Treats last year, while Nestle reintroduced the iconic Caramac bar in three forms after axing it due to low sales.

Cadbury also relaunched its "yummy" Top Deck bar from the 90s, though only for a limited time.
