It has been revealed that more Britons were killed on October 7 than in any other foreign terror attack since 9/11, as the final British victim has been named.
A landmark parliamentary report commissioned by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Israel and led by historian Lord Robertson detailed the murder, torture and sexual violence that took place on October 7.
It also named all 18 British citizens killed in the attack, including Rotem Kalderon, a 66-year-old dual UK-Israeli national who has not previously been named in lists of British casualties.
Kalderon, a teacher and resident of Kibbutz Be’eri, was only identified two weeks after her murder.
The 18 British nationals who were killed by Hamas are: Bernard Cowan, Nadav Popplewell, Roi Popplewell, Nathanel Young, Danny Darlington, Jake Marlowe, Aner Shapira, Dvorah ‘Debbie’ Abraham, Yonatan Rapoport, Lianne Clair Brisley [Sharabi], Noiya Sharabi, Yahel Sharabi, Benjamin "Benji" Trakeniski, Yannai Hetzroni-Heller, Liel Hetzroni-Heller, Rotem Kalderon, Yosef Malachi Guedalia, and Dor Hanan Shafir.
The 318-page report was commissioned in January 2024 with the aim to establish exactly what took place during the deadly attack as well as counter misinformation being spread.
Lord Roberts said Hamas and its allies “have sought to deny the atrocities, despite the ironic fact that much of the evidence for the massacres derives from film footage from cameras carried by the terrorists themselves”.
The historian and Conservative peer explained that the purpose of the report is to refute harmful beliefs and to provide irrefutable evidence that almost 1,200 innocent people were murdered by Hamas and its allies, often in acts of “sadistic barbarism not seen in world history since the Rape of Nanjing in 1937.”

Roberts used a wide variety of sources to carry out his research including testimonies from survivors, media reports from first responders, photo and video evidence, military releases, medical reports, legal documents, census information, and academic articles.
The report found that 73 per cent of those murdered in the attacks were civilians, with the youngest being a newborn baby girl and the oldest a 92-year-old Holocaust survivor.
Naama Abu Rashed was shot while still in her mother’s womb, dying 14 hours after doctor’s performed an emergency delivery, while Moshe Riddler was killed when a terrorist fired an RPG at his safe room.
The document also looks at the 32 communities, two cities, military bases and music festivals that were targeted, detailing the level of planning Hamas put into the attacks and how they carried them out.
It also revealed the scale of the sexual violence committed during the atrocity, reiterating the findings by the UN’s Special Representative on Sexual Violence, Pramila Patten on allegations of Conflict Related Sexual Violence (CRSV).
It states: “Members of Palestinian armed groups crossed the Israeli border and committed acts of CRSV. These include acts of rape, gang rape, forced mutilation, sexualised torture, forced nudity, and posting sexualised images of victims on social media without consent.”
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch welcomed the report, saying: “We have seen a rise in antisemitism since October 7th. On streets across Britain, weekly marches have spewed modern-day hatred of the Jews, often under the guise of ‘anti-Zionism’.
“Too many are still deliberately distorting the events of that terrible day, which is why this factual record is an important reminder of what actually happened.”
She stated that the report clearly reveals a meticulously planned massacre of the Jewish people, sharing that she had personally heard heartbreaking accounts from parents whose children were taken from them and from first responders who witnessed sexual violence against women and girls.
“These atrocities unfolded before our eyes, and we must never allow anyone to undermine or justify unspeakable terror,” she added.
