Meghan Markle has been criticised on GB News after she shared a rare photograph of her children with their faces turned away from the camera.
Former Tory MP Anna Firth accused her of “using Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet as clickbait” in an effort to promote her business.
Meghan used both her personal and official As Ever sites to post a sleek photo of her cuddling the pair.
Just an hour after posting the image, she unveiled her ‘ShopMy page’ which experts say could be lucrative for the duchess.
“I think this is the most appalling story”, said Firth.
“She’s used her children as clickbait. She’s published a picture of her kids, which she knows will drive huge traffic, and then an hour later she posts these pictures of this rebrand.

“We’ve got sandals here for £600. You would get nicer, better ones from my local Primark.”
Deputy Editor of The Spectator Freddy Gray also stuck the boot in on the duchess, branding the story “ghastly”.
“She is shameless. It’s true”, he said.
“To give her some credit, she has not always used her children in the same way people might have thought she would. But she does seem to be using them to promote her brand.
“Ultimately, if you’re an Instagram influencer, you start using everything in your life to sell your brand, to promote yourself.
“That’s where she’s doing. She’s going back to where she was before she met Harry which was an online influencer, a lifestyle blogger.”
Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, have explored a variety of commercial avenues since parting ways with the Royal Family in 2020.
As long as she does not cash in on her royal links, the couple are free to sell products.
Meghan’s Instagram page was launched at the start of the year before her ‘With Love, Meghan’ lifestyle programme launch and her As Ever range of merchandise.
The page’s biography now contains a ShopMy link with the message: “A hand-picked and curated collection of the things I love - I hope you enjoy them!
“Please not, some products may contain commissionable links.”
