A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a deadly fire in the East Midlands on Friday night.
The 54-year-old man from Kettering was detained by police after a four-year-old girl, a 30-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man all died in a blaze at a historic former station house in Beswick Close in Rushton, near Kettering, Northamptonshire Police said.
Images from the scene show a large hole burned through the roof of the building - a 19th-century former station master's house at the now-closed Glendon and Rushton railway station.
Alongside the three people who died in the blaze, three police officers needed to be taken to hospital after suffering smoke inhalation.
In a statement on Sunday afternoon, the force confirmed the victims' next of kin have been informed, and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Northamptonshire's Chief Inspector Paul Cash said: "We know this incident has caused significant distress locally and our officers will remain in the area to provide reassurance and help where we can.
"In relation to this investigation, one arrest has been made, and we will provide updates surrounding this as soon as we can.
"This investigation is well underway but remains in its early stages, and it will take time to fully establish what has happened," he added.

The MP for Kettering, Rosie Wrighting, said she was "saddened" by the deaths on social media.
"I am saddened by this tragic fire and my thoughts are with the family and friends of those involved and everyone in the Rushton community," she said.
"Thank you to the emergency services who attended the scene."
The station house is a Grade II-listed building, according to the Historic England website, and is believed to now be a residential property.
LATEST UPDATES FROM THE EAST MIDLANDS:
As the blaze erupted next to a railway track, train services between London and Corby, Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield were all disrupted, as well as services between Kettering and Nottingham.
This was because of damage caused to the railway line, National Rail said at the time.
Anyone with information is now asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident reference 25000180391.
