Lee Harris has slammed Business Secretary Kemi Badenoch's accusations about Reform UK's membership numbers as "absolutely ludicrous".
Harris said Badenoch's claims of watching the "back end" of Reform UK's website were false, stating she would have had no access to the membership data which was stored in "a completely different secure location".
The dispute began after Reform UK claimed to have surpassed Conservative Party membership numbers on Boxing Day, projecting the figures onto Conservative Campaign Headquarters.
Badenoch accused Farage of using "fake" numbers, prompting Reform UK to invite journalists from The Telegraph, The Spectator, Sky News and The Financial Times to inspect their membership data.
