US commentator Nelson Aspen has criticised Vice President Kamala Harris over her recent election loss message and Thanksgiving Day appearance.

Harris appeared in a viral video posted on the Democratic Party's X account, where she appeared bleary-eyed whilst telling supporters "don't you ever let anybody take your power from you."

The 28-second message raised eyebrows amongst critics and voters, with some suggesting the Vice President appeared intoxicated.

Speaking to GB News, Aspen said: "She disappeared after the election and went to Hawaii for a few weeks, so she should be more rested than she appeared in that video."

Harris later released a pre-recorded Thanksgiving message wearing the same brown suit and necklace, though appearing more refreshed on the same set.

Aspen delivered pointed criticism of Harris's post-election message, which he said "went on like that for a good ten minutes."

The commentator highlighted Harris's messaging about retaining power regardless of the election outcome.

"I wouldn't call it a rant, but it was very pointed and she kept talking about you keeping your power regardless of the election," Aspen told GB News.

The former US Presidential candidate spent Thanksgiving Day volunteering at DC Central Kitchen, a non-profit that provides meals to the underserved.

However, Aspen pointed out a controversial detail from her charitable appearance, noting: "She was caught wearing a $62,000 necklace while she was serving the dinners."

He also raised concerns about the campaign's financial management, stating: "She has to figure out and explain to her supporters how she blew through... $1.5billion and still ended up with $20million of debt."

"It's not a good look for her," Aspen added, suggesting "it will be good for her to have a break as soon as we get through the inauguration."

Despite Harris's recent setbacks, Aspen speculated about her future political ambitions.

The commentator suggested she might pivot away from presidential aspirations, saying: "I think she's going to run for office again, but I think it might be as California's governor."

"I think she stands a better chance to run successfully for the governorship of California," he told GB News.

She has made limited public appearances following her staunch election loss, including attending a Veterans Day ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery and having lunch at the White House before her Hawaii retreat.

When asked about her immediate plans at DC Central Kitchen, Harris simply replied, "Thanksgiving dinner."
