Jake Paul, the social media sensation turned boxer, has revealed he contemplated suicide after losing £23 million due to his brother Logan's controversial 'suicide forest' video.
In a candid interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Paul disclosed the devastating impact of the 2018 incident on his career and mental health.
"I got lumped into all my brother's hate. It was like, 'F*** the Pauls. F*** both of those people.' It was bad," Paul said.
The fallout from the video led to the collapse of lucrative deals, including a significant retail products contract.
Paul's life spiralled out of control following the controversy.
He revealed a shocking plan to end his life: "I was going to put a bunch of gas cans in my Lamborghini and get really drunk and drive off the top of this cliff in Calabasas. It's called Stunt Road."
However, Paul's resilience prevailed. He defiantly stated, "I was not going to let them win. I was like, 'I'm going to fight.
"This is what every social media hater wants is to wake up and see Jake Paul killed himself'."
This dark period ultimately led Paul to find solace and purpose in boxing.

Since his foray into boxing in 2020, Paul has amassed an impressive 10-1 record, with his sole defeat coming against Tommy Fury in 2023.

"They'll never give me credit. That's the way it is. If I was walking on water, they would say it's because I couldn't swim," Paul remarked.
He views the Tyson fight as an opportunity to prove himself. "I'm here to make history. I'm here for a challenge. I'm here to fight one of the most dangerous men in all of boxing."
