A British mother and her two young daughters have been tragically killed after being involved in a horrific car crash in New York.
Natasha Saada, 34, and her daughters Diana, eight, and Deborah, five, died after the collision in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon.
The family had been walking home after visiting a synagogue when they were hit by the vehicle driven by Miriam Yarimi.
The blue Audi was said to be speeding through a red light when it collided with a Toyota Camry.
The impact caused Yarimi's vehicle to flip over before striking the family on Ocean Parkway in the Midwood area of Brooklyn, just after 1pm.
Mahbuba Ahmedova, 35, was in the other vehicle with her children when it was hit, leaving her with bruises.
Her four-year-old son, Philip, survived the crash but was critically injured.
"I got knocked out [from the impact]. When I opened my eyes, I saw two kids were killed, and I thought they were my kids. But my kids were sitting down," Ahmedova told the New York Post.
Saada, who grew up in Mill Hill in North London, and had been part of the Orthodox Jewish community before her and her daughters' deaths.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
After their bodies were flown to Israel for burial, Rabbi Yitzchak Schochet of Mill Hill Synagogue attended the funeral in Jerusalem on Monday night.
"The whole community is grief-stricken. Natasha grew up in Mill Hill and is fondly remembered by many," he told Jewish News.
"They are a beautiful family and we are all mourning along with them."
Other mourners have left candles and flowers near the crash site, with hand-written note left at the scene reading: "Rest in the most beautiful peace, dear family."
Miriam Yarimi, 32, who runs a wig-making business, has been charged with three counts of second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.
She also faces charges of assault, reckless driving and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle as her licence was suspended at the time of the crash.
Pictures from Yarimi's Instagram show her posing with the blue Audi, which has a personalised number plate reading "WIGM8KER".
New York City Mayor Eric Adams described the crash as "tragic" and visited Sidney Saada, Natasha's husband and the girls' father, to offer his condolences.
