Bamburgh Beach in Northumberland has been crowned England's best winter beach walk in a new ranking by outdoor retailer GO Outdoors.
The sandy beach topped the list with an impressive score of 9.83 out of 10, based on factors including rainfall, temperature, daylight hours and visitor popularity.
The study examined beaches across England to identify the most appealing destinations for winter coastal walks.
Situated on England's North Eastern coast, Bamburgh Beach offers spectacular views of the Farne Islands, known for their puffins, seals and diverse wildlife.
Visitors praise the beach's "incredible views and beautiful sand," making it a popular year-round destination despite winter temperatures averaging 5.5 degrees Celsius.
The beach maintains an exceptional Google review score of 4.9 out of 5, the highest among the ranked destinations.
Dorset's Durdle Door secured second place with a score of 9.64/10, featuring its iconic limestone arch formed approximately 10,000 years ago.
The sand and shingle beach attracts over two million annual Google searches, making it one of England's most sought-after coastal destinations.
According to the Jurassic Coast Trust, winter is prime time for fossil hunting, with storms revealing echinoids, ammonites, brachiopods and shark teeth.
Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire rounds out the top three with a score of 9.50/10, drawing more than 760,000 Google searches annually.
The beach earns high praise from visitors, who particularly appreciate its free car park and sheltered position from coastal winds.

GO Outdoors blog author and outdoor expert Calum Jones highlighted the unique appeal of winter beach visits, noting "there is no better time to explore the UK than the winter months".
"As crowds disperse, visitors to beaches often find themselves with miles of coastline to themselves," he explained, adding that many locations offer off-season discounts.
Jones advised winter beach-goers to "wrap up in the colder months, wearing base layers, and investing in a good waterproof jacket".
