The husband of actress Aubrey Plaza, filmmaker Jeff Baena, has been found dead in the couple's Los Angeles home.
The 47-year-old reportedly discovered by an assistant on Friday at around 10:30am, TMZ was told by law enforcement sources.
Baena was pronounced dead at the scene after police and fire services responded to a death investigation call.
While no official cause of death has been given, TMZ reports their emergency services source determined it to be suicide.
The family has told Deadline they are "devastated" at the news and "asks for privacy at this difficult time."
He is survived by Plaza, 40, his parents and extended family.
Plaza announced her marriage with Baena in 2021 after around a decade of dating.
The filmmaker is best known for his directorial debut with the 2014 film Life After Beth, which starred Plaza.
After studying film at New York University, Baena moved to LA where he worked as a production assistant for for directors like Robert Zemeckis and David O. Russell.
Baena's work with Russel helped launch his career, where he co-wrote the director's 2004 indie comedy I Heart Huckabees which starred Dustin Hoffman and Lily Tomlin.
Baena has also directed a number of other indie films including the 2016 dramatic-comedy Joshy, which also featured Plaza.
Both Life After Beth and Joshy were nominated for the Sundance Film Festival's Grand Jury Prize.
Plaza is best known for playing the character April Ludgate on the TV series Parks And Recreation.
She also recently appeared in the acclaimed HBO series The White Lotus.
The pair were not one's to picture each other on social media. Their last post together was in 2021, the year of their marriage.
"So proud of my darling husband @jeffbaena for dreaming up another film that takes us to italia to cause some more trouble," she wrote.

She accompanied the post with a touching image of her and Baena together, exchanging a tender look.
