News Aldi launches new desserts and shares deal for perfect at-home afternoon tea - with prices from 39p

Aldi has suggested items for the perfect afternoon tea costing less than £2.50 per person, which could be perfect for Mother's Day.

The budget-friendly spread includes buttery scones, thick clotted cream and sweet cakes, with prices starting from just 39p. It comes as new desserts will launch tomorrow.



Available in stores now, the complete afternoon tea package allows customers to treat four people for under £10.

The offering features classic British sandwiches paired with iced cake slices and golden scones, complemented by clotted cream and strawberry jam.

This affordable treat provides everything needed for a traditional afternoon tea experience without breaking the bank.

The complete shopping list for Aldi's afternoon tea bundle includes Village Bakery Medium Sliced White Bread (74p), Honey Roast Ham (85p), and Nature's Pick Cucumber (89p) for sandwiches. Sweet treats feature Holly Lane Angel Slices (£1.05) and Holly Lane Bakewell Slices (£1.05).

To complete the traditional experience, shoppers can add Specially Selected Breakfast Tea (£1.25), Specially Selected Scones (£1.59), Specially Selected Clotted Cream (£1.99) and Everyday Essentials Strawberry Jam (39p).

The total cost comes to just £9.80, serving four people at £2.45 per person.



All items are available in Aldi stores now, but new desserts will also be dropping tomorrow.

Shoppers can purchase the new Specially Selected Summer Ganache (£2.99) in raspberry or lemon flavours, featuring chocolate shells with fruity filling.

Also new are the Specially Selected Summer Roulades (£3.99) in Strawberries & Cream or Lemon & Chantilly varieties. Other sweet options include the Specially Selected Hot Cherry Bakewell Sponge Pudding (£2.89) and Strawberry Gateau (£1.75).

The Specially Selected All Butter Scones (£1.59) are available at just 40p per scone, perfect topped with clotted cream and jam.
