GB News host Nana Akua has taken aim at body positivity influencer George Keywood, claiming he has "done nothing" to achieve his staggering weight loss results.
Keywood, who is currently taking the weight loss jab Mounjaro, revealed he has lost 25kg since starting his treatment.
As co-host Charlie Peters applauded Keywood's achievement, Nana questioned the gesture, claiming that weight loss jabs are a "cheat" method to lose weight.
Keywood told Nana and Charlie: "I'm 25 kilos down now, so they've definitely worked, they've definitely helped me - thank you for the applause."
Nana hit back at Charlie's applause, fuming: "Why is he getting a round of applause? He's getting an injection, he didn't do anything."
Shutting down Nana's remark, Keywood argued that just because his method of weight loss is primarily due to an injection, it "doesn't mean he has done nothing" to contribute to his results.
Keywood explained: "Just because I'm taking an injection doesn't mean that I'm not actually contributing to this weight loss journey. The whole point of the injection is to suppress the appetite.
"You could still overeat if you wanted to, but you'd be physically sick on the floor. I've done it before, I've had a pizza and I've thrown it up an hour later."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
As Nana joked that Keywood becoming ill from eating is "also cheating", Keywood highlighted that weight loss injections are only an "aid" to weight loss, not a "magic cure" to make someone "fit and healthy".
Keywood stated: "The point is, it's an injection to help people. It doesn't do the job for you, you've still got to put some effort in there and you've still got to work out and lose weight naturally as well alongside of it.
"It's an aid in losing weight, it is not the the thing that's going to magically just shade ten stone off you and you're going to be all fit and healthy, it doesn't work like that. It suppresses the appetite, but you still got to put the work in and you've still got to stop yourself from eating."
Turning the discussion to bodybuilder Ben Lloyd, Nana asked the fitness coach if Keywood has "cheated" his way to weight loss.
Lloyd told GB News: "I wouldn't say it's cheating as such, I'd only say it's cheating if you're doing it and outwardly saying 'I'm not doing anything, it's just hard work and training'.
"But my main thought is that you could still do it without that. I've briefly looked into it and I counted over 30 side effects, and with diet and exercise alone, you could do the same job with no side effects - and actually positive side effects as well."
When pressed by Charlie on how aware he is that he could "easily put the weight back on" if he stopped taking the weight loss jabs, Keywood claimed that although he is aware of the risk, he has also adopted lifestyle habits that are now "cemented" into his day-to-day life.
Keywood concluded: "There's always that fear that you're going to gain back weight and obviously it's not going to be good if that happens, but I think at the same time, the things that I'm doing on this journey so far - I've stopped drinking fizzy drinks - that's come from doing Mounjaro. And I think those changes are cemented into me now."
