Reform MP Lee Anderson has revealed his phone has been inundated with messages from potential donors after Nigel Farage's meeting with Elon Musk.

"I'm going to be honest. Since this photo emerged on the internet, my phone has not stopped pinging", Anderson said on GB News.

The MP disclosed that emails and texts have been flowing in from potential donors, particularly former Conservative Party backers.

"It's not just Elon Musk that will be great for us, but that knock-on effect will be", Anderson added.

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage and party treasurer Nick Candy met with the world's richest man Elon Musk at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago retreat on Monday.

The hour-long meeting saw the trio pose for a photograph in front of a 1989 painting of Trump called The Visionary.

Reform UK said the pair had "learned a great deal from Musk about the Trump ground game" during their discussions.

In a statement, Farage and Candy said they would hold "ongoing discussions on other areas" with the Tesla boss.

The party thanked President-elect Trump for allowing them to use Mar-a-Lago, saying it showed the "special relationship" between the UK and US was "alive and well".

Lee went on to reveal that "big ex-Tory donors are sniffing around the Reform Party".

The former Conservative deputy chairman suggested these potential donors were seeking returns on their investments.

"These rich donors want returns for their money", He told GB News.

He added: “They want value for money and they’ve been chucking this at the Tory Party for a while.

“We’re talking about lots of money. We’re talking about seven figures.”

The comments come as Reform UK's leadership continues discussions with Musk, who has become a prominent critic of Labour Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

Musk has previously backed Reform UK to form the next government in posts on his social media platform X.

Speculation has mounted over a potential donation from Musk to Reform UK, with reports suggesting it could be made through the British branch of X.

Nigel has previously dismissed newspaper speculation about a possible $100m (£78m) donation, saying such a figure was "for the birds".

As a US citizen, Musk cannot make personal political donations in the UK.

Writing in The Telegraph on Tuesday, Nigel revealed that "money was discussed" during the Mar-a-Lago meeting, adding there would be "ongoing negotiations".

Musk already donated $75m to Trump's re-election bid, with $72m going to his America PAC.
