A senior official in the President Trump administration has warned a “panoply of tools” could be used to force an Ukraine-Russia ceasefire.
Speaking on GB News, Sebastian Gorka urged the warring factions to “stop the meat grinder” after Ukraine agreed to America’s ceasefire terms.
Russia is yet to do the same, and Gorka warned Trump may be forced to take firm action should they continue not to do so.
“I think the president was very clear with regard to the economic tools and the trade tools that are open to him as the president of the largest economy in the world”, he said.
“Hopefully it won’t come to that. Hopefully we will see both sides to this absolutely tragic conflict decide that it is time to stop the bloodshed.
“He has a massive toolbox, including a panoply of tools. Hopefully, they won’t have to be deployed.

“Whether it’s the children of Russia or the children of Ukraine, we’ve got to stop the meat grinder.
“That was really clear when he said 2,500 young men died last week, and he’s seeing the butchering, the kids dying. That’s where it comes from with Trump. He just wants to stop the killing.”
Asked by GB News Political Editor Christopher Hope what Trump’s ‘toolbox’ consists of, Gorka refused to divulge.
“It would be irresponsible of me to talk about the things the president could do”, he said.
“I will just say he made comments with regard to the energy sector. I think he knows exactly what he’s talking about.
“He’s been one of the most successful businessmen in the private sector for more than half a century, so the tools are many and they are multifarious.”
After agreeing to a 30-day ceasefire, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky outlined three key demands that must be met.
The proposal requires Russia's agreement to take effect, though Moscow has not yet formally responded to the initiative.
In his video message, Zelensky outlined three specific demands that Ukraine requires as part of the ceasefire agreement.
The first demand is "silence in the skies" over Ukrainian territory.
Secondly, Ukraine insists on "silence at sea" to protect its maritime interests.
The third requirement is the release of prisoners of war and detainees currently held by Russian forces.
